As a first-generation child of immigrants

I am especially attuned to the unique cultural dynamics, identity struggles, and pressures that many individuals and families navigate. If you are seeking therapy as a BIPOC individual, child of immigrant(s), or someone exploring identity, belonging, relationships, or intergenerational experiences, I encourage you to reach out.

I offer a warm, straightforward, and compassionate approach to psychotherapy for adolescents and adults seeking deeper understanding, healing, and meaningful change.

Cedar Tree Symbolism

The cedar tree is native to Lebanon, where it has stood as a national symbol for centuries. It is a tree I grew up knowing as a child of Lebanese immigrants. The cedar tree symbolizes strength, resilience, and incorruptibility. It roots deeply before it grows tall, and endures long after other trees have fallen. Across cultures it has been associated with healing, purification, and spiritual protection. It is evergreen. The Cedar never goes bare and is therefore associated with eternal life and endurance. A reminder that something in us remains alive even through the hardest seasons. While the world around the cedar goes through its cycles of loss and renewal, the cedar bears witness to all of it without losing itself.

The heart’s affections are divided like the branches of the cedar tree. If the tree loses one strong branch, it will suffer but it does not die. It will pour all its vitality into the next branch so that it will grow and fill the empty place
